Expired Sausages,The Evil Daughter, Mix FM, Saturday...

I had a good amount of breakfast this morning: pork sausages, eggs, peas, beef burger and fried mihun. So buffet.

I was reading something over the net when Dad came into the room with a blue packet in his hand saying "Guess when did the pork sausages expired?". I gave that "oh please don't say somewhere in 2007" horrific hand in cheek look. Dad showed me the blue packet......20 April 2008........hhmmm...

It's almost July now. *shivers* Am I gonna be alright? *thinks of last words and unachieved doings in life*

------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I'm the evil daughter. Mom was at the living room while I was at my lappy when....

Mom : Karen...
Pig : Ya?
Mom : Could you do me a favor?
Pig : *evil whisper* No, for the umpteenth time, no.......(got up from chair and fulfilled Mom's wishes anyway)

----------------------------------------------------------------------

I've been annoying to my sis. Her Sony Ericsson phone has this cool TrackID feature that I love love luurrvvvee to use and I'm always after her phone if a good song's playing ANYWHERE.

Pig : Has your phone finished charging?
Charlotte : Why?
Pig : You *know* why...
Charlotte : Nah...*takes phone from charger and hands to Pig*
Pig : *walks off to tv speaker*

(Charlotte hears familiar song from Mix FM)

Charlotte : Oi..
Pig : Yeah?
Charlotte : You wanna track this song ah?
Pig : Yeahh....
Charlotte : That's Matchbox Twenty lah....These Days Are Gone.
Pig : Ooooh yeah?
Charlotte : You idiot....

Turns out the title was These Hard Times. Blehh..

I really like Mix FM. They could play the right songs/compilations at the right time. And I'm a sucker for "right" songs. I couldn't help though, whenever ANY place plays Vanessa Carlton's "A Thousand Miles" (hint: The White Chick movie).

After awhile, they were playing this familiar R&B song. I TrackID-ed the song and it was Joe "I Wanna Know". Sis thinks I'm weird.

Charlotte : Why suddenly the change of taste?
Pig : What change? There's no change. I just like the song.
Charlotte : Don't know. It's not like you.
Pig : You think I only play those asking-for-sex songs lah issit?
Charlotte : Ya...

I played Goldfrapp's "Beautiful" on speaker and she went :

Charlotte : Oh that's soo YOU now.

I think that my sister has labelled me as the nymph. -_-"

------------------------------------------------

I was to follow parents for grocery shopping and I think I was being selfish for no reason to Charlotte (it still puzzled me till this very moment).

Pig : I'm going with Mom and Dad.
Charlotte : I wanna come too.
Pig : If you're going then I'm not going.
Charlotte : Woot?
Pig : If you're not going then I'm going. Get it?
Charlotte : K loh I'm not going. My body's aching anyway.

It didn't make me happy to hear that either. But anyways, I was out with parents and we were around Pujut 7 on the way to E-mart when..

Dad :
I think we need to go home now.
Pig & Mom : Why?
Dad : Radiator's acting up on me again.

[looks at radiator temperature on dashboard and ooooh what a sight, less than 1cm to Hot!]

Pig : Hhmmm.....
Dad : I think we should go to Honda instead.
Pig : Yeah, great idea...
Mom : That's why I said....I think the will car pao tza halfway to home later.

We were 20-25 minutes away from home. My eyes remained at the dashboard as the arrow went up and down like climaxing or something.

Mom : I had it worse before, my car had no brakes that time.
Pig : Mmm hmm....*watches radiator indicator flying up*
Mom : And it was dark and I was at the graveyard.....
Pig : Thank God you're fine.....*sees indicator rising*
Mom : Just imagine.....no brakes.
Pig : Mom, erm....not the right time now.
Mom : What, I'm telling my problems are so worse.
Pig : Can you wait till we reach Honda?
Mom : Dowan. I don't think I will have the mood. You know I hate saying it again. You always do that. That's the problem with you.
Dad : *silently watching the indicator*

How could you empathise the past and the current at the same time???? Tell me if this can be multi-tasked. Eeek! I only have one heart.

Okay, we were fine and safe. Don't think I'll have the chance to hear Mom's story again. Called Charlotte to pick us up. From there I don't know whether this answered the puzzle of being selfish, for appealing that one of us shouldn't follow parents for grocery shopping. It's probably a subconscious principle of mine.

So, we're all good. While waiting for Charlotte, I was sitting in all the Civics in the showroom (only 2 as a matter of fact). It's a yummylicious car no doubt. The Honda City is not my type and the Accords are too big.

Charlotte picked us up and eventually followed us to E-mart. LOL....we're still talking coz she was our saviour of the day! If I ever remind her of this, I am most sure I'd get a big thwack on the head. After the shopping, Dad's car was ready for pickup. Drove home. Was so tired I took a nice warm shower and off to nap I went. I seldom have my siestas but today has to be exceptional.

Got woken up by Charlotte's enthusiastic "Dinner time, Pig!" call. Still groggy during dinner. MTV Movie Awards was showing and Steve Carrell's voice was so distinctive. HAHA...

Well, Boobai and I decided to stay in on Saturday nite. We HAVE our reasons. Might meet Rach up tomorrow morning when she's done with church. Haha the girl doesn't really go but I'm guessing the family is making her go. I haven't been going since I'm always waking up when the Youth Mass starts.

Sorry God...

Okay, till then! Toodle-loo!
